Hair Straightening Products Question?

I have very very curly frizzy hair and I’ve come to the conclusion it’s easier to straighten it (even though it takes awhile) then deal with the curly frizzyness all day…anyway i have a very good straightener its just the products that i need to get. My mom usually just buys the cheapest stuff around. Does anyone have any suggestions of good hair straightening products to use before I blow dry and flat iron my hair

Well for heat protection, use L’Oreal Professional products, I forgot the name of the one i use but it’s a creme and is in the bathroom and I’m too lazy to go find it… I’ve tried like every brand out there and for shampoos and products I would say L’Oreal Professional is one of the best IMO. I’m sure they would have something to help straighten as well, it’s just my hair is pretty much straight.

Also, if you find that your hair is thick, this product will help with making it more manageable and will also aid in straightening: L’Oreal Liss Extreme Creme.

I have super thick coarse hair, and i use that l’oreal stuff.
maybe you also need to invest in a better straightener? mine heats up to 270 and i only have to run it thru once…

btw, why don’t you just work thru some curl activator and let those babies go wild??

I have the same hair, well almost. I’ve tried pretty much everything. One thing I can say is that Fish Oil (omega 3) has helped me a lot to fight all the dryness that I’ve had for a long time.

My fave products are:

- Matrix Sleek Look EXREME( approx. $13)

- Straight Fast by Giovanni ( this one is reallllly good and u can find it at Natural Stores only for $17)

P.S A friend of mine has very frizzy hair. Her trick is to leave a bit of conditioner in her hair after washing. You’d never tell she has frizzy hair, ever.

I use Sexy Straight Hair, um I dont know if that is the brand or if its not I don’t know what brand it is but I LOVE IT. You can get it at most salons I think. You sray it on when you are straightening and it makes your hair like poker straight and smooth.

RedKen products are good too. I use sebastian – hot tools – its a spray u put on after the shower that protects vs. flat irons, blow dryers, etc. Dont put too much on b/c it has a hair spray/hold effect a little.
or if not that then ill put in redken – anti snap – its a leave in conditioner. Put it on your tips only, not whole head otherwise your hair will get greasy quick. Good to use b/c flat irons dry hair out to a crisp.
and after the straightening is done i use a serum by paul mitchel on the tips to give
it a little shine.
My friend’s a hair stylist and she recommended these products to me.
Shes recommended others that ive tried but you have to find what works for you.
These are the best ones ive used, but still in search for better ones.

I’ve tried Sexy straight hair and found that Frizzease’s secret weapon worked much better (and WAY cheaper).

Usually i use a straightening cream (still looking for a good one) along with Joico Colour Endurance thermal styling spray to protect my hair from the heat and then a shine serum afterwards to get rid of any pouf.
