I know you weren’t asking for my two cents, but I just want to say that the first thing I noticed about you was your gorgeous natural waves. It is striking…truly striking. The straight hair is totally up to you of course, but I never catch myself saying the same about straight hair as I have your hair. I have actually shown my Mom and sister how gorgeous your hair is with the natural wave. However, I know you will be beautiful…even if you went G.I. Jane.

pros = if you go to a good place, your hair can end up really straight and it is permenant til new growth. cons = your hair doesnt really weigh down the new growth and yes your roots will be curly and the ends will be straight.. and you can tell that ur roots are growing out within 2 months (well depending on how fast ur hair grows) so to me..it was kind of pointless bc i had to straighten roots everyday anyway.

Hey! I just randomly came across your video today. I have had those “permanent” treatments done on my hair–more than once. Honestly, I don’t really think they work as great as they promise. When I came out of the salon, my hair was really straight and beautiful. But when I washed my hair and let it air dry, it definitely wasn’t as curly as before, but it wasn’t straight either. So I don’t really feel the treatment delivers its promise. I had to style my hair just as I did before. Good luck!

My hair looks very similar to yours and I have considered the japanese straightening.I have hesitated for several reasons:Hair never looks naturally straight. Looks straight in a weird kind of way. Always potential of damage to your hair to the point of your hair falling out (rare, but possible). Once you do it, you don’t have the option of that carefree, beachy, wavy look to your hair. It is expensive. Just my two cents. I have totally considered it myself, but just can’t bring myself to do it.

i think your naturally wavy hair is amazing! My hair is naturally stick straight and it’s so boring! I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. : ) But for what it’s worth, I think your hair looks gorgeous as it is!

I got mine done for about $160 when my hair was shoulder length. And under $300 when my hair was long. Check around asian salons. The price is less inflated and the products more advanced, since it is really common in asia. They might not be able to speak english very well, but it’s worth it.

It didn’t really damage my hair. Good luck!
